Not going for originality but more for simplicity and not having to drill new holes in the frame. I do like that those clamps are rubber lined and way cheaper. Did you screw them into the frame?

You should be able to use the original holes in the frame using a small bolt and nut. The lines might be in a slightly different position, but as long as they don't run into something, it should be good.
