I am trying to start a engine that I just pick up 1935 Chevy that is not in a car was told it ran once removed. Used a fully charged 6 volt battery with 8 foot jumper cables motor turns over very slow with a 12 volt jump there is no problem and it spins fine. With the starter out of the motor it seams to spin fine but once you load it down trying to turn the motor over the starter can hardly turn it over. Could the starter windings be bad or weak??????
