You mentioned you're looking for a higher gear, but haven't said what transmission you'll run.
I did this swap in my 50 half ton: 4.11 torque tube and 3spd out, 3.90 Task Force truck open drive center section in, solid spring perches, and a T5 transmission behind my 216. It's a good combination.
