So I've been slowly working on my '53 3/4 ton and have become slightly stumped. Did the 1953 Chevrolet 3/4 ton truck come with an external resistor or an internal resistor for the ignition coil? I didn't see a resistor on the firewall so I purchased an internally resisted coil but, it is to big for the original coil bracket. Any thaughts would be appreciated.
