Makes a difference in how the ballast resistor and coil are wired. Make sure the coil is getting battery voltage while the engine is being cranked. On a V-8 the starter has a terminal to provide battery voltage to the coil while the engine is cranked, and the six cylinder engine stomp starter switch should also have a small terminal that provides battery voltage while it is being cranked. | | |
