How he ended up with 70+ tires: He had some type of contract to build portable power generator trailers but the contract was cancelled after all the matterial had arrived. That is what his company builds: huge enclosed power platforms for businesses. Anyway the tires arrived but the contract was cancelled and he is left with all the equipment. Tires are the only parts left as there isn't much you can do with that size tire.
BTW: The tires fit on the front of my 1951 chevy 6400 series fire truck too. I've heard clearance problems on the Stovebolt web site but I haven't had a problem with it myself.
