I'm fully aware of the the old adage "if one keeps trying over and over again and one gets the same results, your stupid" or something like that. I just hate to go back into a B carb on my 54-235. I took extra care and it's so pretty. So many of you have said I have a accelerator problem. It is still running rich and soot's up a new set of AC-R45's in about 20 minutes. The engine has 28'000 miles on it with great compression. The carb does not leak or shoot out fuel when running. I can't get it to idle, runs fine at 900 + rpm but with black exhaust. I'm going to order some of Bob G's capacitors and thinking of running AC-46 plugs for about 200 miles. You would expect more from an educated engine nut but alas I'm letting my education hold me back. I mean I started working with my dad and older brother with greasy engines when I was 6. Too stubborn. ed
