So I got it all back together in the truck and was turning lock to lock. So it turns all the way left and then just barely to the right before hitting lock to the right. So it appears that the worm nut box is not centered on the worm. I’m not sure how that happened but it had to for there not to be enough steering to the right. So now I’ve got to do it again this weekend. I just knew when I had it together on the bench something didn’t seem correct and now I know.

I’m posting this so that someone else may not make the same mistake, and yes I’m feeling a bit stupid, not mad or frustrated just darn stupid for not following up on my intuition that something didn’t seem correct at the bench. But it shouldn’t take as long to get it all apart.
