Pre '68 Dave 'Bolter P Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 Snohomish,WA,USA	Some points have a removable spring that closes the points. If that spring is missing the copper strap does not provide enough pressure to close the points much above idle. If you check dwell it will show up as the problem when you rev it up.
