These old stovebolts aren’t like the new LS engines which have a “one time only” torque to yield bolt that isn’t supposed to be reused.
Fox, I understand we aren't talking tty bolts, I deal with them at work, designed to tight to low torque then a given angle of further rotation & they do stretch.
Not saying 60 year old bolts aren't fine, however if you want to replace them studs look cool as well as more clamping force.
