First of all, thanks to all of you that helped toward a solution for my grille emblem. Praise and many thanks to "GMCpanel", it was your suggestion that brought things together. I Copied the profile of the grille in the area where the emblem mounts, transfered that profile to a piece of hardwood and shaped a buck to work (shape) the emblem against. I checked the temperature produced by my electric heat gun (approx 260 degrees F.)and used that as my heat source. With the emblem placed on the buck (a hole drilled to receive the mounting stud) I heated it and then applied pressure with the drill press. In just a few minutes the emblem moved against the buck. Hope this isn't confusing.
Anyhow I am ready to paint and install the emblem and am now asking for advice on the proper paint scheme. Thanks, Ralph
