You have received some of the best advice out there. When I was young and stupid (now I'm old and stupid), we always thought the larger the CFM the better. One needs to realize the balance for efficient speed and power vs. optimum engine care. All of these guys can probably remember the piles of carbs an intakes piled up in the salvage yards due to poor applications. Look for the best balance and you will get the best performance. I have a sealed box of Offenhauser intakes for Chevy L-6 engines that I may be selling. All proceeds will go to Stovebolt. I'm concentrating on selling more usable parts for the L-6's. Some engine jewelry is not worth the effort and lost dollars it takes to apply. Doc
