Thanks, TooMany. I have become a bit worried that it has lower adjusters, too, and I'm positive that I have the tops backed off too far.
Also, Freightliner does own ALF these days. Their museum page says to contact local dealers about legacy parts and info. That is on the list, but I figured someone on here would have worked on some similar brakes at some point - they look like off-the-shelf parts, rather than specially made for ALF.
