Is my understanding correct that the fuel tank sender is supposed to be ~30 ohms when full and ~0 ohms when empty? I've been trying to diagnose a gas gauge that reads empty all the time. I've checked grounds, power at the gauge, etc, just about everything I can think of, and finally I checked resistance at the sender. I made sure the tank is 100% full, and I'm getting 0 ohms resistance. Could be a sunk float or bad sender? Working on my 1954 3100. fuel and electrical systems are all original.
