BF Goodrich, Uniroyal and Farm Bureau tires have always given me good service. I have Goodyear Polyglass on my Shelby's and Porsche powered VW's no brag just fact ! I currently have Farm Bureau 40 year old 6 ply with 6 ply sides on my oldest AD Chevy. I don't think I would want to go from Florida to California with them. However a fellow took the 43 year old tires that I gave him (Farm Bureau), tires on a trailer from FL to Indiana two years ago to pick up a 34 Dodge and had no problem. I took them off my 54-3100 because I was embarrased to have them on my show truck. The tires had crackling on them. One never knows, it seems that the unknowable have all the luck. I would love to hear all the stories of all of us about what we have done like this in the past. I think I will start a thread in the Greasy Spoon. All of you have got to have some real good stories.
