Well.....looked at truck today. Wasn't really as nice as I thought. Someone repainted, green of course, kinda ruff, and inside too, plus black on doors. Seat has new cover, just didn't fis any padding or stuff under it, sheesh! All glass good. Tires are 7.50 x 20's hard and old, but have tread. Fella was there jumping it, and said couldn't get it running, was dumbfounded. It would fire, just not go. He messed with plugs and wires some he said. I called home and got firing order from Ma, and got that straight. It now started and ran, but still wanted to pop some and seemed weak. I turned Dizzy some to get best running. Doesn't burn oil that I can see. He said cause it didn't run as well today, and I messed with it for him, he'ld knock another $100 off price. SO, put some money on it, going back with rest soon and now it's mine. Lots of little things, the door panels are gone, even the little covers for the hinge at bottom are gone. No key, just turn with tab on switch, backwards at that. Not sure what that's about? Hope to be able to drive home, can go back roads. The clutch pedal is halfway down, catches right away, the outer side vent is kinda bent, stays open some, doors rusty inside at bottom, lots of little things. Ought to keep me busy and "Hardware Poor" for awhile! The bed is homemade, but heavy, mostly wood. It's about 12ft, maybe, but frame is shorter by 3ft or so, so may cut it down and make it dump. Well, guess I'll be back more as I go on it. ONe thing I'm not crazy about is the park brake cables are broken, and go into drums. Wish was on the trans like bigger ones had. Much easier to fix. Maybe I can find a trans brake and change to it. And, I sold one of those last year when I cleaned house! Durn!
