Hello Folks: Two questions. One here, one elsewhere. Upon reflection, both here: (1) Can anyone assist interpreting VIN for '63 C60? VIN = 3C653S152092. Have called Chevy for Restoration Pack but have been told is too old and information will not be complete. Help...
(2) Four wires from firewall plug. One wire is hot continuously regardless of ignition switch position, one hot with ignition 'on' (to coil??)and one to solenoid "S" terminal to start and other for water temp sensor. Question: What does "R" on solenoid terminal mean? Where does the always-hot wire go and why? All help appreciated. /s/ Stubby
