WeB Old, I had a pacer unit in a 41 Chevy sedan I built. The pacer Pwr. Stg. unit leaked badly. Replaced it with a manual mustang 2 rack and it drove very nicely. As I recall, I of course has to build different brackets to hold the rack, but I also had to use tie-rods from a late model T-Bird as the mustang rack and stock tie-rods were too short for the Pacer rack.
