Concensus is you don't need a crossmember for the tranny. If that is, you're running a original (or original type) 6 cyl Stovebolt engine. The trucks that came with SM420 4 speeds which is one heavy sucker have no transmission crossmember. It weighs about 150 lbs, a T5 weighs about 75 lbs. Don't know about a TKO 600, but if less that 150lbs and if a Stovebolt engine, I'd just bolt it to the bell housing and call it good.
