David Bush I agree with all you said but here in central il. when it gets really cold 15/40 is pretty heavy to crank outdoor engines. Mostly use 5w30 with ZDDP, now in georgia it would work better. That big truck oil would be used in engines with block heaters,that is what my trucker neighbors do all winter.
