I know what you are going through with your rig. Here in the U.S. when the goverment sells to the private sector the title states the year that the rig was sold. I have an old M38 willys that the title says it is a 48 but through much research I found out it is a 43. now I get the right parts that I need. I found that ebay is a good place to find the old military manuals, that give all the numbers that were used back then. Good luck.
