April 20-24, 2021. I removed both front fenders and inner fenders. The replacement fenders are much cleaner than the originals, so I just need to sand and paint them.
The firewall has nasty black tar goop all over it, so I painted the firewall satin black.
I need to do some repair work on the inner fenders, so I'm going to put half the fender bolts in so I can run around and get the smog test done.
I hooked up the oil pressure gauge, 50 psi at high idle when cold.
I swapped the new HEI distributor out with the 84 305's. No I need to figure out the timing; I think I spied the timing mark in between a bunch of hoses.
I spent a couple hours at the wrecking yard looking for "stuff". I found a wiper motor that looked fairly new. I'll find out soon enough if the pump works (the old one did not work).
