So I pulled the drivers rear drum off last night... and discovered black goo all over everything... I can only guess this must have at one time been axle grease and brake fluid?, mixed with mud and who knows what...
I was hoping that I would not have to replace all of the shoes back there but it looks like that is a must. what I noticed as I was taking it apart, was that there did not seam to be any rubber, or leather seals in there at all... I am guessing this is the source of my mess.
is there any easy way (aside from elbow grease) to get this crud off of everything so I can finish rehab?
