The 1 ton cable from Jim Carter have the ball type ends, which in theory would require ordering their parking brake cable clip (ME168) as well so you could use your stock parts to connect the cable to the brakes (at least I had to on my '49 1 ton). However, in practice it didn't go so smoothly. The ball didn't fit in the cable clip, and the cable clip was too small for the parking brake actuator hook. So if you can modify your original "clip" piece from old cables to accept the new ball, that may be the best bet. I called and emailed Jim Carter about the misfitting parts and got no responses or help at all, just FYI.
