I have looked at several vendors sites and they all look round to me. I found some pictures online of original trucks and they look like they have a round metal cover with a round rubber seal ( which is missing from mine) and some kind of sponge rubber that fills in the rest of the oval hole.
I think I will order the round seal that goes under the metal cover and try to make something to fill in the rest of the oval hole
