The 261 engine I have on the bench will not pump oil to the internal parts of the engine.
Bench testing the pump; it shoots oil out 2 feet using and electric drill, but will not send oil
to rocker arms and bearings when installed in the block.

Is there an oil relief valve on 261’s ? if so, where is it?
I removed and cleaned the spring loaded valve (?) on the oil pump and it slides smoothly.

So, why no oil being pumped to the interior of the engine??

Any thoughts or help appreciated.
