Hi all,
Been a while since I've been on the site, but I've got a problem I don't know a good solution for. I put new shoes all around on my '46 1/2 ton about 2 years ago. Last year I replaced the three brake hoses and disassembled, inspected, cleaned and reassembled all the wheel cylinders. Brakes working great, firm pedal. A few months ago I had to panic stop the truck and since then I'm getting squealing from the fronts. Not all the time, but about half the time. Haven't pulled the drums yet. I'm thinking I glazed the shoes, but don't know the remedy for this. Less than 3000 miles since replacement. Suggestions?
Thanks,
David B.
