The high and low beams of the very bright LED headlight I just put on my Harley are wired through relays, and the "passing lights" on both sides of it have a relay circuit powering them. It's a lot easier to swap a failed relay, if that ever happens, than to replace a beam selector switch with wiring running through the handlebars!
