About the time I got started on a hydraulic roller lifter conversion for the modified "216" I'm building, my lathe decided to eat a couple of gears. The parts to fix it are on order. I'm planning to use a hydraulic roller lifter designed for a MOPAR V6, and fabricate an external oil distribution manifold to supply them with enough oil volume to stay pumped up. If the project is successful, the "ZDDP in the oil" question might be resolved as well. The lifters are slightly smaller diameter than the stovebolt lifters, so it's going to be necessary to fabricate thinwall reducer sleeves for the lifter bores.
