New to the forum and new to Apache's.. Bought a 59 3100, stepside that had a great 350 crate motor installed. It has original 6 lug, manual drum brakes all around and I'm looking to convert to power disc in front, drum in rear. What's the best site for kits that are reasonably priced for conversions? I've seen $ all over the place.. Thanks in advance for any help, I look forward to being part of the forums..

I just bought a few things from Speedway motors, and a few from classic industries, but got the frame mount booster from summit for 300. summit had the cpp power brake unit in stock, and cpp was a month away from having them again. the front disk kit cost me 300 from speedway. the cpp kit ended up being 600 for everything so the price ended up being the same either way, but i got the parts sooner from other places. They may have more in stock by now, but keep in mind , some may take longer. I was in a hurry because i needed to get my 55 on the ground so i could trailer it to another location. I have to say, even though the frame mount booster will be a bit more work to get to in the long run, the install was a cake walk. Same with the disk kit on the front. I kept the straight axle and added the disk kit to it. took about an hour per side due to getting the rusty old parts off and cleaning up the spindles.
