1.5 inch vs 2 inch wide leaf
If borrowing the axle bring the narrower leaves with it
Then you only need spacers for the leaf connections
And maybe a custom bolt and sleeve at the rear leaf connection points

The 3800 springs are not only wider, but they are longer too. Not to mention, the shackle pins are tapered and specific for the 3800 and the 3100/3600 front springs. Not to mention there is differences in the frame dimensions also, so even if someone would want to use the 3100/3600 spring hangers, it still may not be possible.
