Well . . THANKS again everyone . . the fuel gauge is now working properly.
After rereading many of the older posts, I came across one in 2013 by LonnieC. Although the discussion was good and even though none of the pictures indicated were available, there was one little piece of information that was very helpful . . . a web address for fifthaveinternetgarage.com. Many useful tech tips listed there and one specifically for fuel gauges. Following their recommendations, I was about to start the testing procedures when, just because I wanted to start from the very beginning, I squeezed myself back under the dash to check the wiring. Lo and behold, the simplest of fixes . . . put the sender wire and the hot wire from the ignition switch on their proper posts!! Then check to be sure! Obviously, I had not.
I feel like the such a DUMBA$$ . . . KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid . . start from the beginning and check/recheck everything. Then check again!!
Sorry I wasted your time and talents . . but I do appreciate the responses.
Now, if I can only stop that pesky drip from the Schwartz hydraulic bed lift!!
