It takes a very creative approach to plumbing in order get any heat to the intake with that heat plate- - - -it's mostly there for looks, and it doesn't supply anywhere near the same amount of fuel atomization from heat transfer that a stock exhaust manifold provides. Plus, a 2-carb setup needs a lot more, not less heat to work efficiently. Splitting a stock manifold, or finding one of the "scarce as hens' teeth" Corvette dual exhaust manifolds is a much better approach. Like somebody said a while back, fancy intake and exhaust systems components are not "fashion accessories".
