I'm re-building my windows and wing windows and what I have found from the typical "Restoration" books/catalogs selling a rubber strip type product called "Glass Setting Tape" in sizes like .031, .047 and .063 X 1.5" wide. The problem I have is the OEM glass is a certain thickness and the repop glass is of a small thickness size and the channel also a certain size so when doing the Math the glass size and window channel size and the "setting tape" sizes leave the glass Loose in the channel as well with the rubber tape doesn't make the bend in the wing window very well (too tight of a bend). I might be missing something but my calculator doesn't miss adding up these numbers and pre fitting the glass and tape in the channel leaves it loose with any of the tapes. Any options or proven methods anybody want to share.

Thanks in advance.
