That's a nice setup but how often would you use it and as you said would it go high enough for your purpose?
The high enough isn't an issue, at least with my hoist. With my 2x6, dropping it down below the level of the rear of the hoist boom would be a bit of an issue (I didn't need to go that low to get mine on the rotisserie), but could be solved by adding a pivot point that was lower than the 2x6. Just fastening another chunk of 2x6 in a tee shape would do it. I relied on 2 buddies and a neighbor to set my cab on a pallet (which wouldn't fit between the legs of the engine hoist.)
