Yes, the ones from the mid '50s did have glass bowls on them. I've seen them on both GMC and ford 6 cylinders. Would have liked to have found a pair for mune, but I've been told that they tend to leak. Nice thing about the Holleys is that they're dirt simple to overhaul, parts aren't too bad to find (other than the float) and the jets interchange with virtually all Holley carbs, be they 1, 2, or 4 bbl. And the jets are easy to get and cheap!
