We use 80's, 90's Ford cables for two reasons: They take a round cable housing mount hole in the fire wall (much easier than the GM square hole) and they have a built in throttle return spring so no springs or brackets needed. The foot pedal is the floating type so no floor bracket needed.

Fire wall cable mount is at the 11:00 O'clock position to the brake booster:
