Let's look at the two side by side. The red one is from a 1951 I sold around 1977. The man who bought it gave the locks and strikers back as he was adapting it to use more modern locks/strikers and I've kept them since then. There is no provision for rubber bumpers...and on the 1951 I had there wasn't. The bumpers were on the door jamb. Out of curiosity I tried these strikers on my 1952, and they don't work well at all. Why? A couple of reasons: the adjustment is different. Notably so. The entire plate is about 1/8" longer, is more narrow and as you can see, the adjustment holes are more narrow by 2~2.5mm. Also the holes are slightly lower on the 1951. All that combines into a striker that just doesn't adjust the same. And more important the distance between the striker bottom and the slider ledge is different. In the earlier one it is 1/16" closer and also the slope of the slider ledge is different. They just don't mate with the 1952 locks (latches if you prefer).
