I just replaced mine on a 62 , remove the screws on the cowl cover , pull out the old seal , put the new one in place and center it , it will probably be to long and will have to be trimmed , you can mark the rubber to pre drill or if you have a cordless drill just drill through the rubber using the screws .
Your existing rubber is probably folded down but the new one could be at a 90% angle , it will settle in time but you might have to aid it into position the first few
closings .
