Ella is a 1941 3 stake am truck, she has a 216 motor . We have spent the last three years searching and replacing various parts . I again say it am not a mechanic bye any means , but believe with good advice , research , and patience can do most of the work to keep her on the run. Problem has always been her just not diagnosed fully until now. She has a rear seal leak .Now for the rub , my desire is to replace the rear seal myself ,because in my time I have come to the conclusion that my knowledge may be limited but my working sense and desire to get things right (so I know what has been done) with confidence . So what I am asking is believing I can get the technical aspects correct (dropping pan , loosening crank , and correctly retightening crank , ) Is this something a competent patient guy can do ? I have basically rebuilt this truck from a basket case . I would love to hear from some veterans as to whether I should pass and let a pro handle it. here is a couple of pics of Ella.[img]
