Hy Frank50, and guys, I don't want to call myself an expert, but I do have four Maple Leaf trucks, a 1937 2 1/2 ton, a 1943 3 ton, a 1946 3 ton and a 1950 3 ton. They were manufactured by GM Canada. I'm not sure if they still wore Maple Leaf badges if they were exported new from Canada. After GMC developed its full precision bearinged engine in 1939, all 3 ton Maple Leaf trucks were equipped with that type of engine, even though the trucks were "Chevrolet Maple Leaf trucks"
