Shouldn't a pressure switch be right at the outlet of the master cylinder? That would let the pressure go to zero with brakes released and up to at least the pressure of the lowest RPV when you mash the pedal. That might be the simplest solution if the switch is on a tee in the brake line.
Or maybe I'm not understanding how RPV's work. ohwell
