Well, I'm so close to firing up my SBC I can taste it. Went out to the shop this afternoon to connect the fuel line and break in the cam, but was greeted with a large puddle of transmission fluid on the floor. I had put in 5 qts. in the TH350 yesterday evening. Figure I've lost a couple. What a mess! Anyway, it appears that it is leaking from the speedometer cable connection on the tranny. My cable seems a bit short anyway. I'm running a 79 Z28 front clip and have not been able to connect the speedo in the cab. I'm wondering about just finding another cable that is a tad longer. Any suggestions? Is this something I can find at my FLAPS, or am I going to have to order another cable if I want a longer one? Help! :confused:
