I decided to take the u-joint yoke to a driveline shop to see what they can do. They said that they could recondition the yoke by welding the gouged out spots and make the u-joint bushings seats flat again.
Where I do not seem to have any other option they are currently working on it. I suspect this process will take a day or two.
It will make it so I can bolt the u-joint to the yoke. I will use thread-locker compound and safety-wire it to prevent this from happening again. | | |
