Fired up the new powerplant in the 58 last weeked. All I can say is the sound of a blown 383 through open headers is awesome! And another thing I wasn't expecting was the how fast it revs up, burp the throttle and it nearly bounces of the rev limiter. I hope to have it drivable in the next few weeks.

Other progress: (I haven't posted in a long while) Fully boxed the frame, 4-link welded in, put disks on the 9", and cleaned up the cab (lots of misc cutting and welding there).

Things ahead: Entire braking system, wiring, diff rebuild, post pics, and I'm sure countless hours of other stuff too.

And remember: Speed doesn't kill, stoping does.

'58 Apache: Camaro sub, 383 w/forced induction, 700R4 trans, 4-link w/floating 9" and un-altered sheetmetal.
