Tried posting this in the Hipo forum only one response how about here?

I'm installing a 3" dropped axel on my '59 235 apache. Has anyone had experience in modifying the drag link to keep it level with the pitman arm to avoid the dreaded bump steer. When building the old F*** roadsters they used to heat the steering arm and bend it. Can I cut the draglink and rotate the end with the steering arm balljoint to a upward position and then install it on the bottom of the arm instead of the top of the steering arm? I hate to cut the draklink but if I have it Mig welded and pinned inside of a sleeve I guess it should be ok. What do you guys have to say?
