Thanks for the warm welcomes. So to answer a few of the questions that popped up my login handle came from a song, I just started using it and it stuck. Located in north Jersey. As for the condition of the truck, we managed to get the service records back until 1999. It looks like sometime before that someone did a repaint/restoration over the original yellow paint. There are some paint chips, scratches, paint bubbles, grey-ed wooden bed, etc but no huge glaring structural issues. Given it was a decent price for a 5 window and so close it was almost imposible to say no. For the most part I think the plan is to use it and fix what breaks for now, but he might go for a full frame off when he retires.
