Putting a turbo on an engine that hasn't been designed for it from the drawing board up isn't likely to be successful. Look at some turbo and non-turbo models of the same engine, such as the Toyota Supra inline six. Very few parts interchange between the two engines, even though they share the same displacement and appearance. Packing 10 pounds of potatoes into a 5-pound sack usually isn't a good idea, either!
