HiFellow Stovebolters,coilover,tomslick,garyg.
Thanks for helping me do it right the first time. Until the engine & trans. are installed I can only sort of guess at the RPM etc. but I did do some what ifs?
Tom ,on the wiring harness question. Painless Wiring is sending a cataloque and have the part I need to do the job. I found the site you mentioned to calculate gears for differentials etc. This is a fantastic site for Auto tech. cal/info. www.bgsoflex.com
The site did the calculations based on my entries on the following. MPH 60, Tire Dia. 15", Peak Horspower @2000 . results for best Diff. gear ratio was 2.23 to 1.
1. Is this a 2:23 gear ratio differential?
2. Also I have access to a 2.53 rear gear assembly that is the right width. Would this work?
3. Do lower number ratio's mean I need more power?
4. If the number is higher such as a 373 that garyg & coilover mentions can I upgrade the excisting rear end to the right numbers?
I should have checked the ratio that was in the donner 92 Astro. (6 passenger std lenght body) Would anybody know the ratio for this vehicle?

I am not the author but I really think this fits.
