Have a GMC p/u with 54 Chevy 235 hydraulic lifter engine that can't be rebuilt (was .80 over last rebuild). Bought complete 235 truck engine w/ head casting # -848, year unknown, but found head is cracked and not usable. The head gasket from newer truck engine lines up w/ all the holes in the car engine head - anyone know if it will work?
